The Role
As the Silver Icing Marketing Assistant & Brand Storyteller, you will be providing support to the
Marketing team, ranging from assisting in the coordination of new product launches to supporting our
in-house Graphics & Buying teams. This role will be responsible for, but not limited to, assisting with
social media management, as well as written delivery of product information and content creation. The
Marketing Assistant & Brand Storyteller will establish a reliable connection with our Silver Icing
Stylists across Canada by using our social media channels to create compelling content that tells our
brand story. You have an exceptional way with words, have strong written or oral communication skills
and are highly organized. In addition, being open to modelling our clothing online is an asset, as all
of our models are in-house employees!
IMPORTANT: THIS IS A FULL-TIME IN-HOUSE POSITION AT OUR HEAD OFFICE.
Responsibilities
Assist with social media management including content writing, editing, scheduling and
publishing
Manage and conceptualize social media content calendar
Accurately write about and describe all products
Monitor activity on all Silver Icing social media sites
Assist with overall marketing campaign execution
Support the Marketing, Graphics and Buying teams with daily administrative tasks
General market research
Provide information and commentary related to the Stylist program, offering insight on ways to
increase success for each Stylist
Assist our in-house photographer & visual stylist with the preparation of featured pieces for
photoshoots
Provide assistance where needed
Qualifications
Degree or diploma in Communications, Marketing or fashion related program is preferred
Strong understanding of social media
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Remarkable organizational skills with the ability to multitask
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Adaptable to change
Familiarity with SEO best practice an asset
General understanding of fashion and related terminology is an asset
