The BCI is a cotton production system that encompasses all 3 levels of sustainability: environmental, social and economic. The Better Cotton Initiative system provided training on sustainable agricultural practices and production to over 2.2 million farmers in 21 countries with over 2 million farmers becoming certified to sell their cotton as "Better Cotton".
