These are the size small, and I typically wear a small or medium on the bottom. More often than not, I choose medium in denim shorts because I need to focus on the waist. I’m pretty straight through my waist and hips, so my waist is usually closer to a medium. If there isn’t enough stretch, I almost always need to size up.
These shorts have a really nice stretch, and I find the waist in the small fits comfortably, just stretchy enough. I could size up to a medium for a looser waist fit, but then the leg felt too loose. The leg in the small fits perfectly, and since the waist still feels good, the small is definitely the best size for me.
I also love that these give me the look of cutoff shorts but with a little more coverage, which makes them extra comfortable and super cute.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – I’m a such for denim shorts and have a slight obsession! These ones are amazing! They are a nice soft material and are so stretchy! I love the length and the frayed detail is so cute. I’m wearing my regular size small and really like the fit of them. I could get away with sizing up to a medium as these were quite fitted, but they definitely did not feel uncomfortable at all. Can’t wait to scoop these up for summer!
