The Role
Our ideal candidate has professional experience with both Marketing and Photography fields. The Marketing
Assistant will provide support to SilverIcing.com and IDressMyself.com ranging from assisting in the
coordination of new product launches to supporting our in-house Photographer, Website/Graphics Design, Marketing
and Buying teams. This role will be responsible to organize the collection and preparation of all samples for
upcoming product features. Has a good sense of photography basics such as lighting with natural light as well as
flash for in-studio shoots. The MA will establish a reliable connection with our Stylists using our social media
channels by offering support, monitoring activity and posting relevant, engaging content.
Responsibilities
A summary of role responsibilities includes but are not limited to:
Assist with social media management including content writing, editing and publishing
Monitor activity on all SI & IDM social media sites
Assisting with overall marketing campaign execution
Support the E-commerce, Marketing and Buying teams with daily administrative tasks
Market research
Communicate directly with Stylists to filter and organize program and marketing suggestions, needs and
requests
Provide information and commentary related to the stylist program, offering insight on ways to increase
success for each stylist
Organize and manage the Monthly Stylist Newsletter and find other ways to keep the stylists connected to
Head Office and up to date on pertinent information
Capture and analyze social media analytics and provide strategic recommendations
Work with the Warehouse team to organize the collection of and return of all samples
Assist our in-house photographer with the preparation of featured pieces for photoshoots
Experience with Photoshop, retouching and has an eye for detail
Qualifications
Degree or diploma in Marketing preferred
While previous experience is an asset, we are open to considering applications from candidates who are
seeking an entry-level role with the potential for future growth opportunities
Strong understanding of social media campaign management
Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the use of Social Media sites
Proven experience in photography, with the ability to showcase previous work
Creative with exceptional attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and work under deadline
Familiarity with SEO best practice an asset
