As the Silver Icing Senior Accountant you will be an important supporting team member on our Finance Team.

• Responsible for full cycle accounting, monthly financial reporting and balance reconciliations


• Prepares, processes and posts weekly/monthly journal entries including bank and debt transactions, corporate credit card transactions and inter-company transactions, monthly accruals and amortization entries


• Assist CFO in building financial models and introducing new reporting and financial analysis


• Lead in the automation of current models and reconciliation files


• Support CFO in ensuring appropriate systems and controls are implemented and maintained


• Make recommendations to encourage continuous improvement of financial performance


• Assist in the creation and implementation of a comprehensive budget and 5 year forecast


• Prepare daily and monthly KPI reports and distribute to operating teams

• Completed Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation


• University Degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance or Undergrad degree in non-accounting related subject paired with a Diploma in Accounting


• Minimum 3 years accounting experience


• Solid understanding of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises


• Experienced in Microsoft Excel


• Experience with QuickBooks Desktop is an asset


• Previous Account Payable experience is an asset


• Financial Analysis experience is an asset


• Retail/Manufacturing experience is an asset
