Responsibilities
A summary of role responsibilities includes but are not limited to:
Prepares, processes and posts weekly/monthly journal entries including bank and debt transactions,
corporate credit card transactions and inter-company transactions, monthly accruals and amortization
entries
Invoice Processing and Invoice Payment (temporary cover only)
Payroll and commission payment processing and administration (temporary cover only)
Responsible for GST/HST and Sales tax return reconciliations, submissions and administration
Responsible for full cycle accounting, monthly financial reporting and balance reconciliations
Assist CFO in building financial models and introducing new reporting and financial analysis
Support CFO in ensuring appropriate systems and controls are implemented and maintained
Make recommendations to encourage continuous improvement of financial performance
Required Skills
Pursuing Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation is an asset
University Degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance or Undergrad degree in non-accounting related
subject paired with a Diploma in Accounting
Solid understanding of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises
Experienced in Microsoft Excel
Experience with QuickBooks Desktop is an asset
Previous Account Payable experience
Financial Analysis experience an asset
Retail / Manufacturing experience an asset
