The Role
We are looking for an Operations Manager to oversee the day to day operations of our head office location in
South Surrey. This demanding role is best suited for someone who is looking to have an impact and contribute
toward the effective and efficient management of operations on a daily business.
The Operations Manager is described as someone with a can-do attitude, exudes positivity and leads by example
through an energetic team focused approach. This individual is described as a strong leader with solid project
management and people management skills. Operating using the Silver Icing Core Values as their guiding
principles, the Operations Manager is charged with maintaining high employee morale and motivation through
developing and implementing policies and procedures that are essential in successfully realizing company goals.
Your daily efforts are focused on operational goals that are rooted in striving to continuously achieve customer
service excellence.
Responsibilities
Motivate, lead and manage your teams by actively listening, making yourself available, offering creative
problem-solving, and responding swiftly to challenges
Take initiative, engage through a hands-on approach and positive "can-do" attitude
Present new and innovative ideas for change by collaborating with all departments to achieve improved
efficiency and effectiveness in support of customer service excellence
Develop and implement strategies that best support daily operations ultimately contribute to company
goals
Monitor, measure and provide feedback on operational issues, opportunities and proposed program or
procedural development and improvement
Consider productivity and efficiency goals to help determine an effective staffing schedule
Responsible to initiate and follow up through cross departmental communication and collaboration with
the Customer Experience Team, Buying and Warehousing Departments to ensure a superior overall customer
experience
Develop and oversee implementation and administration of department policies, systems, and procedures
Qualifications
3+ years's experience in a management role, operations related preferred
Solid interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Highly organized, detail oriented and proactive problem solver
Approachable, positive demeanor with a hands-on and team-oriented work style with an ability to build
collaborative relationships
Ability to navigate within a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
Takes initiative, is proactive and is results-oriented
Experience setting both team member and departmental goals
Ability to operate with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines
Proven experience in utilizing operational management principles involving leadership and coordination
of people and resources
Analytical and logical thinker with the ability think two steps ahead and successfully analyze different
pieces of information and put them together like a puzzle
Proven ability to direct a team working in a fast-paced environment to ensure accuracy, compliance, and
a team culture of excellence
Demonstrates ability to effectively prioritize work flow to ensure deadlines are met in a fast-paced
environment while adapting to changing and shifting priorities
Strong Microsoft Office skills with an emphasis on Work, Excel and Outlook
